Summer Reading Program Special Themes
Catch the Reading Bug (2008)
Spinning Spider Songs and Stories
From Arachne to Anansi to Grandmother Spider to the eensie-weensie spider,
we will spin a wonderful web of song and story. With bagpipe, fiddle,
banjo and participation this program will entertain the very young and the
very old.
"Rise again! Rise again!
She will not let misfurtune keep her
From doing what she can
So whether your legs number two or four or eight or ten
Be like that eensie-weensie spider,
Rise again!" |
Yo Ho Ho!
Songs and Stories of Pirates and Treasure (2008)
Avast me hearties! There be a treasure of pirate songs and stories for
ye. Don't be scurvy land lubbers but sing along in piratical enthusiasm.
Shiver me timbers! Arrr!
Get a Clue at the Library (2007)
I will once again have a new show to compliment
this years summer reading program theme. Songs and stories of mystery
and mastery abound. Here are a few verses of a song I've written
for the show;
I've got a clue how about you?
What got into the hen house?
Look at the ground with the tracks all around
And you'll find out who did it.
I've got a clue how about you?
What's meant by voracious?
Go take a look in a dictionary book
And you'll find out the meaning. |
As with all my programs, these new shows will
include songs, stories, bagpipe, banjo, fiddle and fun.
