These participatory programs explore seasonal themes, favorite holidays, my Scottish border clan heritage and ecological and world events. Scottish bagpipes, fiddle and banjo enhance the tuneful tales that are told. My concerts have been delighting audiences of all ages with stories and music for over twenty years. Celtic Songs and Stories (all ages)
I share my Scottish border clan heritage in a program of mouth music, ballads, bagpipes, fiddle and Celtic tales.

    I Can Be Me (pre-school)
A collection of favorite songs, games and stories for the very young.

Jack Tales & Cornstalk Fiddles (all ages)
A celebration of story and song from the Appalachian mountains including such folk toys as the limberjack, handkerchief mouse and cornstalk fiddle, along with plenty of rollicking fiddle and banjo and a sit down square dance.

    Building Bridges (all ages)
Following the grief of September 11th, I took a close look at my role, as an artist, in strengthening community and working towards peace. This program grew out of my commitment to do all I can through songs and stories to make our world a more wonderful one.

    Midwinter Rituals (all ages)
From December through January we celebrate many festivals of Light and this program looks at family and community generosity and togetherness at this time of year. I have evolved a totally secular show over the years but can include Christmas and Hanukkah material if desired.

    Leprechauns and Limericks (all ages)
With Irish fiddle, stories of the wee folk, poetry, shamrocks and limericks this program celebrates the Irish in us all.

A leprechaun flew in from Mars
with chocolate candy bars
he choked on a nut
and fell on his butt
Now he's flying right back to the stars

(written in a workshop with 3rd graders)

Women's Voices (middle school and up)
The month of March is Women's History Month and a time to celebrate women’s voices. In this program, I share stories, songs and poetry of strong women. Women with passion, vision, humor and determination to carve out their own space in the world. "...I have carved a space for you behind my eyes and see you each time I am startled by happiness."

Green and Growing (all ages)
A program designed for Earth Day that delights in the beauty of our earth and sheds awareness on environmental concerns without being heavy handed. Themes addressed are; nature, the seasons, ecology, recycling, endangered animals and our role as caretakers of our planet.

Songs of the Civil War
"Without music we wouldn't have had an army." General Robert E. Lee

Books Alive!
Favorite books dance off the shelf with music and song. Books told and sung include; Peter Rabbit, Miss Rumphius, Owl Moon, When I Was Young in the Mountains, The Table Where Rich People Sit, Abi Yo Yo, Joseph Had A Little Overcoat.
